Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson, both lawyers. As a young girl of just five years old and moved to Oxfordshire and attended her first Dragon School. Emma was six years old when she realized she wanted to be an actor. She was trained for many years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford where she studied acting as well as singing. Through a school play as well as the stage of a Stagecoach Production, Emma was the lead at the age 10, and acted. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 adaptation to J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book was released in 1999. Emma was spotted by Emma's Oxford Theater instructor. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were chosen to play three leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's debut on screen came with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's release in 2001. The film broke all records in terms of the opening weekend and numbers, and was the highest-grossing film of 2001. Critics praised the film and the performance of three leading young actors. The widely distributed British publication The Daily Telegraph called her performance as admirable. Emma later won five awards for her performance in the film.
