Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has made significant inroads into Latin pop. In 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. in Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and then released ADN for his debut full-length album. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. Vaina Loca was an instant Top Five hit for Ozuna and him the year after. Mala Influencia was his collaboration with Noriel in 2020. The following calendar year Dopamina came out as his sophomore album. In 2021, he sang a duet. He sang a duet 2021 along with TINI for her smash hit Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo has an musical family, as both his elder brother and mother are also musicians. He has said in interviews that music was a necessity. As a child, he was taught how to play guitar, the piano and ukulele. The initial goal was to become a vet however, his brother Julian persuaded him to learn how to sing under a Cuban instructor. The end result was that he discovered his own talents for singing, and the result changed the course his life.
