Rosalia

Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is an Spanish pop singer and flamenco performer. Involved in the margins of popular and traditional music since her teenage years, she has also delved into different styles like hip-hop soul and trap. The flamenco guitar player Pepe habichuela described her voice as sweet and sharp, but still having the grit of more mature singers. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer an Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist her 2018 follow-up El Mal Querer was a significant commercial and critical success that topped Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and finally receiving the Grammy. The single La Fama featuring the Weeknd came out in 2021. Motomami included songwriting collaborations with many artists including Cory Henry, James Blake and others. The release date was March 20th, 2022 following the performance by Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia became the first Spanish solo performer to be a part of the show on Saturday Night Live. In addition to winning three more Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia, she also became the first female to be awarded this award twice. Latin Album of the Year twice.
